Watching the world.

The alpine swift.

The alpine swift can fly non-stop,for more then 200 days while flying from Switzerland to Africa. It can fly super fast and it can go really really high.

The horse's leg.

A horse can run 50 kilometers per hour without using a lot of energy. The power from the body makes the leg push hard off the ground and it moves forward really quick. The calve on the leg is really large, and it makes the leg bend better and increases the speed.

The horse is an animal with four legs with very large thighs and if it kicks you,you could get a problem with your body and go to hospital. If it hits you hard enough it might kill you straight away.If the knee on a horse is broken the other legs wont gallop as well as before.

At one gallop the muscle in the leg acts like an shock absorber that takes energy so it wont break.A muscle tendon provides allot of agility and power.Engineers are trying to clone the horses leg so if a horse loses his leg there will be a robotic leg to attach.

How is this possible?

Ebola

The signs and sitcoms of Ebola are diarrhea, sever headache, muscles sore and you will be an anti bodied.

Big Shift by Jacqui Brown

WALT Review stories we read.

Big Shift by Jacqui Brown

This story is about a Mum and Dad who split up. Mum and the children move out of their farm in the country and they go and stay in Wellington while Dad stays in the countryside.

The characters in this story are Dad, Mum, the three children, Tomo and Meilai. This story takes place in the country and in the flat they were living in, in Wellington.

I liked this story because it tells us how people live in the countryside and what life is like in a city.

The Day Mary Shook The Karaka Tree

WALT read and understand what we read.
I enjoyed reading this story. I like the story because when the tennis ball gets stuck in the tree, Mary shook it to get the ball back. It is a funny story.
